586 Sport Pre Event Test Day

A few weeks back we joined 586 Sport at Walters Arena, South Wales for their pre Woodpecker Rally test day. 586 is run by father/son duo Steve and Callum Black, and some of you may remember the golden years of the BRC when 586 ran Alister McRae in the epic Volkswagen Golf F2 project. There may be something in the pipeline with this - but we’ll keep that to ourselves for the moment!

The test was Callum’s first run in his brand new M-Sport Fiesta Rally2 machine after 9 months out, it’s been a long wait for Callum as M-Sport have been building the car, and chatting with him prior to the test he was keen to get back into it. As you can see from the photos, it didn’t take him long to settle in! Sadly, Steve’s test in the Swift S1400 was cut short with a fuel pump issue.
