Woodpecker Rally 2022

The weekend of the 3/4th September saw a double header for us, beginning with the Ludlow based Woodpecker Rally on the Saturday. An early start saw us heading into the epic Radnor complex, which also offered an early finish for the long drive up to Aberystwyth for the second event of the weekend - Rali Ceredigion.

The Woody was a joint BTRDA / BHRC round this season which offered a fantastically diverse entry of machinery, from the awesome Fiat 131s of Matt Edwards and Nick Elliott, to the brand new Fiesta Rally2 of Callum Black. After a 9 month hiatus waiting for his new car to be built by M Sport, Callum secured a comfortable overall victory following the retirement of Matt Hirst (ironically driving Callum’s previous Fiesta); with the historic honours going to local boy Henri Grehan in his beautifully prepared Escort RS1800.
